Bollywood Party
I need to dress for a Bollywood party with minimal effort?
Me and my girlfriend (advice wanted for both of us) are going to a Bollywood-themed party this Saturday. We are asked to dress in a Bollywood style. I don't really have anyone to borrow clothes from so I'm looking for some hints on how the two of us and at least look like we tried.

Take a long cloth or scarf and wrap it around your head to represent a turban....
you can wear a formal shirt or get a toga or some sort of occasional gown and also find a matching long scarf with it to drape it down the gown or around your neck...the long scarf is called a "dupatto"...which is very popular amongst indian men...and of course in your bollywood theme
for the shoes...you could get pointy shoes...or square foot...
make sure you style-up your hair...the hairstyle is one of the most striking aspects of your appearance...maybe spiky...
for your girlfriend...check out avatars.yahoo.com and make an indian women avatar...you should be able to get similar ideas as above...in bollywood...jewellery and make up is striking...but not too fancy...only what you can manage to get...these days...in modern times...bollywood actresses just dress formally according to Western styles...but if your girlfriend wants to go traditional then she should buy a sari or punjabi...i am not sure how to make one...it's easy to find a cost-effective one in any indian-outfit store near you...
