Cotton Batik
Can I use Dylon machine dye to dip-dye?
I want to dip-dyw some cotton calico on which I've painted a batik pattern. I have one small pack of Dylon hand dye, and also a pack of their machine dye in the same colour. Can I use them together, and also if I want to use just the machine dye, how much water should I dissolve it in to use it for dip-dyeing?

I wouldn't use dye meant to be used in a machine, since it is made to work with the agitation, and you don't really want that with the batik. You could try dyeing a small amount of fabric to test it to be sure though.
