Kameez Eye
What do I wear for the occasion?
I have an event for my fantasy novel at a city library in Ireland and have very little by way of choices in clothes and no money, does anyone have advice as to what style will work best for the occasion? Shall I go black, bright colours, something reminiscent of the novel (which is set underwater and on a tropical land)? I wore a fancy salwar kameez for the official launch, but don't want to make this too formal an affair, especially since most of those attending will be young and will have lots of piercings and eye liner. I can't function in the world of style, but the first impression of the author can mean everything.
I would say go with something simple, an all black outfit will probably do, like a black 3/4 sweater, black slacks and some really cute black flats along with a good pair of earrings and a necklace. (Like something silver or gold.)
