What is the difference between the following?

Coat: Item of outerwear that goes to, or past, the hips; also the top part of a business suit

Jacket: Item of outerwear that goes to the waist.

Blazer: Casual suit jacket, usu. in black or blue w/gold or silver buttons; worn with odd trousers.

Overcoat: Long, heavy outerwear that may reach to the ankles. Traditionally worn over a suit.

Frock coat: semi-defunct formal wear characterized by knee-length skirts all around the base, unlike the tail coat and the morning coat.

Suit: nowadays, usu. a matching jacket and trousers w/wo a vest, all sold together.

Baniyan: a loose, T-shaped robe influenced by Persian and Asian clothing. Also commonly used in present day Indian English to mean vest (undershirt in American English).

Vest: Sleeveless piece of clothing usu. either down/synthetic for winter wear, or it's part of a suit.

Garment: All of the above, and below too.

Kameez: long shirt or tunic, worn by both women and men in South Asia.

T-shirt: short-sleeved underwear worn as actual clothing.

Shirt: any garment that covers the upper body.

Sherwani: A long coat-like garment worn in South Asia, sometimes w/a fez.

Tailcoat: White tie formal wear. Look like a vest in front, but with long swallow-tails in back.

Morning coat: principle item of men's morning dress. Single-breasted coat, the front parts usually meeting at one button in the middle, and curving away into a pair of tails behind.

Pullover: Sweater that is pulled over the head to put it on, as opposed to one fastened with buttons or a full zipper

Gown: Woman's garment; a long formal dress.
