Georgette Printed
How much is this book by Georgette Heyer worth?
I just picked it up a couple of days ago.
The book is called The Grand Sophy
It looks kinda old and is in a sort of protective plastic thing.
The back basically says
''This is a book club edition''
and has prices in some old currency like 7/6,10/6 and 12/6
Then there's some address for 121 charing cross road,london,w.c.2
It then says telephone:Gerrard 5660 (16 lines)
bear in mind,the whole book looks old and the printing is a bit faint.
Inside,it has a list of famous authors in old printing who were part of the book club and then it says
''This Edition:1951''
Does anyone have a rough value of how much it is worth or who I could take it to to find out?
By the way,I live in manchester.
She was a wonderful author and her stories are reissued sporadically. Unfortunately, book club editions are not worth much. If you like Jane Austen, she is next best thing.
